Usability analysis of virtual-reality-enabled digital twin for the inspection of sewage pumping stations

The use of Digital Twin (DT) for asset management has been considered a while. While significant scientific and development work done on the technical feasibility DT-based inspection assets, very little attention paid to expectations inspectors from such systems how these are actually appreciated by end-users. In other words, practical standpoint, there is insight into usability aspect DT data best presented end user. To address limitations, this research aims investigate VR-enabled platform sewage pumping station. A prototype was developed case study performed validate framework perspective. Based results validation, an increase in efficiency, comprehensibility, practices observed. This attests great potential proposed improving infrastructure inspections.
